Job Summary:

The Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of material handling equipment, including EOT cranes, Goliath cranes, hoists, and goods lifts. This role requires proficiency in both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning:

  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

• Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

• Inspections & Testing:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Test equipment post-repair to confirm functionality and safety.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Customer Interaction:

  • Liaise with clients to schedule maintenance and address service concerns.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–5 years in servicing material handling equipment.

• Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals.

  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and mechanical components.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Valid driving license.
